Fortune Harbour, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada More than a Tourist Home Experience … next stop Ireland May 1st - October 15th yearly

Boating
Icebergs / Whales

Allow us to arrange a private boat to take you on a 1-2 hour tour of Fortune Harbour.  Learn about the various abandoned gardens and community landmarks.  Tour along by the mussel farm and become familiar with its operation.  If the conditions permit, you can venture out through the tickle to Notre Dame Bay where, depending on the time of year, icebergs and/or whales can be observed.

During the summer months, icebergs are often abundant just beyond the Harbour entrance to Notre Dame Bay.  The prevailing tides bring icebergs so close that they often become grounded in our tickle. Whales can also be observed during the summer.  If you’re lucky, you’ll have a whale put on a show for you like this one did in 2015.
